Delivering Alcohol

Information about the alcohol delivery

When you arrive at the customer’s address with an order that includes alcohol, you must assess whether the customer is over the legal age. Our customers will be informed that they will be asked to show their picture ID, so it should not come as a surprise for them. If you assess that the customer is younger than 25 years, you must:

  1. ask the customer to confirm who they are (their verbal confirmation of name is sufficient)
  2. check that the customer does not appear drunk
  3. ask the customer to present picture ID and check their age (minimum 18 years)


If the customer presents valid photo ID and you are able to verify that the customer is over 18 years old, the order must be delivered as normal. If the customer fails to present a valid picture ID

  • The validity of the customer’s picture ID is in doubt.
  • cannot verify that the customer is within the legal drinking age.


Should you:

  • Hand over the bag with the non-alcoholic products (if they are actually in a separate bag)
  • If the non-alcoholic products are not in a separate bag, do not hand over (any part of) the order
