Tips for courier FAQ

How do you get tipped?

Tips can be given by customers in two ways: digitally, through our platform, or in cash directly from the customers.

What if the customer decides to leave a cash tip?

The customer may tip in cash.

Do you need to pay taxes for your tips?

You will receive your tips as a part of your payslip, and any required local taxes will be deducted. It is your own responsibility to meet any tax obligations with respect to cash tips.

How and when will you receive your tip(s)?

Tips will be processed through our internal payroll. You will receive the total tip amount with your salary once a month.

How much can a customer tip?

The customer will have an option to tip 5%, 10% or 15% of the order subtotal. They simply choose the percentage they would like to tip.

Can you view your tips in the driver app?

You can see your tips in the Scoober app under “profile”. If you go under “Job history”, you will also be able to see your tips for the months you have worked.

Are tips paid out individually to drivers, or are they shared between all drivers working that day?

Tips are paid out to the individual Courier who receives the tip, they are not shared.
